On Thursday, Nov. 15, Champlain College-Saint Lambert’s Continuing Education Department hosted what it hopes to be the first of many, “Educate, Elevate and & Celebrate – Better Together” cocktail and networking events. This private (invitation only) soiree took place on campus. At this event, it recognized the contributions of existing sponsors including Samuel Guenette from Sherweb, Vincent Rabbat from S3 Technologies and welcomed new ones including Howard Dollin from Intelligel.

This networking event was very important as it acknowledged the contributions of the school’s partners and encouraged new organizations to partner with Champlain College. The College recognizes the need to always “think outside the box” when coming up with new initiatives and programs for our students.

Part of the “Better Together” theme was the discussion of programs that help new Canadian adult education students successfully integrate into their new community and workplaces. Many of these students were Champlain “ambassadors” for the evening, helping out as volunteers and networking with the many business leaders present.

This unique event was hosted and organized by www.bdhcollective.com ‘s Eramelinda Boquer and featured entertainment from well-known comic legend Joey Elias, comic and CJAD radio host, Dan Laxer, French TV Personality, Angelo Cadet as well as a fascinating mixology demonstration from Ungava brand ambassador Gizmo Sirois. Also present to speak about the importance of Champlain’s unique programs and initiatives was Montreal city councillor (Desmarchais-Crawford) Sterling Downey.

Many local businesses stepped-up to make help the event a huge success including: Dunn’s Famous, The Montreal Ukrainian Festival, Les Spiritueux Ungava, Jacques Cartier Pizza, BeaverTails Pastry, Patisserie Kamenitsa, Nauth Industries, Restaurant ChuChai, Intelligel, Windham Hill Golf Club, Montreal Alouettes and Airbase Services.

Champlain College is always looking ahead and that includes our 3rd Annual IT Connect Conference focusing on Cyber Security which will be held June 7, 2019.
